My undying love for Krishna

KRISHNA sketch

People ask me, why do I paint only Krishna and not other gods. Am I too religious? What's so special about Krishna?. Some gave enlightening speech on how he was manipulative, had so many wives and was not loyal; and the one who already died, won't come to rescue me from my problems.

Some people gave intellectual diversions, saying, "Now a days, people making business in the name of God and you are falling for it. Krishna was just a human, not a real God. And if he was; in Geeta in one shloka he said, you reap what you sow, and in other he said, I am the doer. If he is the doer, why and how this Karma system works? Does that mean, he is making us do the sins and we are suffering? It is a contradiction and complex.
Also, he left Radha whom he was deeply and truly in love with. He came to rescue Draupadi only after she prayed hard. Why didn't he stop it at first place, after all Draupadi was his devotee, why he made her go through such a mortifying situation? You think real God can do this?"

Don't I think this or don't I think that?

Okay, okay wait... Umm what.?...lemme breath.

I am not his spokesperson, neither with little knowledge of 'god', 'Mahabharata' and 'religion', I can debate with all. I am clueless about Radha and whether Krishna really 'left' her.

All I know is, seeing and drawing him gives me peace, makes me forget worries and world.

I never felt praying or remembering Krishna day and night. I never felt chanting his name or observing fast will bring him closer, or by doing so he will be pleased and will grant me a boon.

He merely reinstates my faith in love, friendship, karma, patience and courage.

When I see him, I remember all the struggles he has gone through to stay 'alive', to help people, to bring harmony and peace (even though that means being manipulative to deceive wicked enemies). His stories give courage to fight. He is 'Hero'.. hero who inspires to live when you feel there is no way out.

The concept of religion - God changes according to experience and expectations of people. Few follow fabricated scriptures. Few who are unsure about their own beliefs insists people to follow certain things. Some merely chant mantras and feel they are now pious, pure. Imperfect humans seek perfection in other human, tests them -judge them. Leave human but they even decide how God should behave. And there are few, who calls themselves incarnation of some god and ask people to follow them. What to call them? religious, wise, hypocrites or stupid?

I feel many people turn atheists because religious people make 'God' sound so vindictive and stupid that a sane man only hate him.

I don't know what real and fake God means, but according to me God is someone who brings peace in mind, shows us path to follow and do right things.

In India, there is a famous phrase, 'pati hi parmeshwar hai', which means 'your husband is your supreme god'. So the one who stake his wife for mere dice game can be considered as God and the one who rescued her, is not God but made her go through such situation?

I don't know, whether Krishna was human or God; but even after giving 'Agnipariksha', the person who left his pregnant wife in Jungle on her fate can be considered  as 'God', then the one who rescued  and married 16,000 women is not less than supreme God.

And sketching someone with flute is much easier than sketching someone with a weapon.... :)

Rejuvenate yourself

Sketch of a girl who is changing.... I recently met someone beautiful, educated, and independent. She is always on her toes to help others. She always keeps her own desires last. She says happiness comes when one makes others happy even when it means compromising one's own happiness. Is this how it works? Is this the ultimate truth or is it a delusion? For whom is she compromising? Do the ones she is sacrificing for ever put themselves last for her sake? No, I am not feminist. I agree that it is good to think about others but is it wise to take it to the point where you start being unjust to yourself? When you are not happy, how you are you going to keep others happy? And it is not about this one woman. I've come across many Indian women who feel they are born to make sacrifices. They feel bad when they cross society's Lakshman Rekha. I feel, its important for all women to understand that they deserve the best. They deserve all kinds of good things. After all, you only get one life. Walk away from all the shit that is making you feel low. Ask yourself what it is that YOU want. What do YOU feel? Today, change yourself, inside out. Be happy! - Harshada Chougule

The Eyes are the window to your soul

Her eyes were those of someone who's just fallen in love, someone who sees nothing but her lover, someone who has no fear of anything. The eyes of someone who believes that every dream will come true, that reality will move if you just give it a push.

I've a dream, a song to sing - pastel Sketch

I have a dream, a song to sing

To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream
I'll cross the stream - I have a dream

Radha Krishna flute and love

Radha - Krishna - Pencil sketch

“If you love a flower, don’t pick it up.

Because if you pick it up it dies and it ceases to be what you love.
So if you love a flower, let it be.
Love is not about possession.
Love is about appreciation.” - Osho

Radha Krishna abstract sketches

Radha - Krishna abstract sketches

Love is a feeling, a real, raw, and unscripted emotion so sensationally pure, unable to dull even under the strain of a world against it, strong enough to heal the broken and warm even the coldest of hearts.

Innate.
Unavoidable.
Undeniable.

Krishna - Abstract pastel sketch

It is better to perform one's own duties imperfectly than to master the duties of another. By fulfilling the obligations he is born with, a person never comes to grief
