She says happiness comes when one makes others happy even when it means compromising one's own happiness. Is this how it works? Is this the ultimate truth or is it a delusion? For whom is she compromising? Do the ones she is sacrificing for ever put themselves last for her sake? No, I am not feminist. I agree that it is good to think about others but is it wise to take it to the point where you start being unjust to yourself? When you are not happy, how you are you going to keep others happy? And it is not about this one woman. I've come across many Indian women who feel they are born to make sacrifices. They feel bad when they cross society's Lakshman Rekha. I feel, its important for all women to understand that they deserve the best. They deserve all kinds of good things. After all, you only get one life.
